T-Rex

Now that almost everyone knows, I thought I should announce the news here--I'm getting a new baby brother or sister in November!!! When I went to the first sonogram with Mama and Dadda, I kept calling the baby on the screen "T-Rex," so that's how we've been referring to him/her sometimes. I also say "Baby Sister," because I think it's a little girl.

Here's a picture of Mama, starting her 17th week (whatever that means). I guess T-Rex is really starting to get bigger, because you can actually see a little bump on Mama's tummy now.

Here's a pic from when Mama was about the same number of weeks pregnant with me:

Goin' Hikin'

Yesterday, we went up to Roxborough State Park to do our first "family hike." It was fun!

Here I am with Mama, all ready to go! Of course, I had to take my "Night of the Museum" Night guard gear. You have to be prepared!

Before we started the actual "hike," we sat and had a snack.

On our way in...

And we're hiking! I loved it!

Here we are at our first stopping point. Look at the great view!

Continuing on...

Another little rest stop with pictures...I even took one of Mama and Dadda!

And we left just in time before the rain came!

Trip to the Lone Star State

A few weeks ago, we took a plane ride to San Antonio, TX to visit three different groups of friends. This was my third time on a plane but first time with my own seat. It was great!

Our first visit was with one of Daddy's old roommates, Shane, and his wife, Carolyn, and "Jackson Baby." We had a great time visiting with them in Boerne, TX. They live in Alaska and were in town for a wedding in the family.

I got to do lots of running around outside while we were there. As you can tell from my rosy cheeks and shiny face, it was hot in Texas!

After a short (but great) visit, we headed back to San Antonio to visit with the Alanis family. As usual, we had a great time with them. I love hanging out with Jonah, Toby, and Ryan. I call them my "cousins."

On our last night there, we met up with the Badgerow Family at Cracker Barrel. They made a stop through San Antonio to see us on their way to Austin. It was fun to hang out with them and meet Elise. She's so cute!

On our last day there, we spent some more quality time with the Alanis crew. Gosh, we miss those guys!

What a great trip!

Friends

I've made some good friends here at DU.

Here I am with my friend, Peter. Peter's mommy works on campus like my mommy, and we just started running into each other all the time. Now, we see each other quite often. This picture is with the old DU mascot, Boone. He's somewhat controversial on this campus.

Here I am with my friend, Matt. Matt's mommy and daddy both work on campus. They both used to work with Mommy. That's how we got to know each other. I haven't seen Matt in a while, but we got together for lunch the other day.

Gymnastics Class

A few weeks ago, I started gymnastics class here on the DU campus. I love it!

Here I am--all ready to go!

Here I am with Dadda...getting warmed up!

We started with an obstacle course.

First, we had to climb and roll:

Then, we swung on the bar:

Then, we did donkey kicks to strengthen our arms:

Then, we had to jump over the little pictures on the balance beam:

We finished the obstacle course on the parallel bars. I'm really good at these:

Then, it was over to the sponge pit.

After that, we went to the big balance beam:

I like to finish with a roll on the little incline:

After that, we get to jump on the long trampoline:

We do several things on the long trampoline:

We finish class with some fun activities with the big sheet:

At the end of class, Miss Amanda, the teacher, draws pictures on our feet. I always get trains.

Here's one of my friends from class, Noah.

Yay! Gymnastics!
